Our loyalty is with our community; From the small businesses incubated under our roof to the local partnerships we set up in our neighborhood, The Jupiter puts people first. Our staff is dedicated to bringing the best of themselves to our guests’ hotel experience as well as to the community at large. One way we’ve done that is by supporting nonprofit organizations in our city. Most recently, we’ve worked with nonprofits Cascade AIDS Project, PDX Jazz, Restore Oregon, Live Wire Radio, Red Dress Party PDX, One Tail at a Time, Bloodworks NW, Hollywood Theatre, and more.
Here at Eagle Portland, We are learning a lot. How to be a better safe space for all LGBTQIA+ people, how important it is we all unite, how to advocate for and support other queer groups than gay men which we previously and currently mostly consist of. We welcome everyone. We are unapologetically owned by a gay man and mostly operated by as such. We do not want to be a part of any continued divisions in the LGBTQIA+ community that can tear us apart. We want to work to make a safe, sexy, fun space for all people.
A pharmacy has sat on the corner of NW 21st and Glisan since 1892. The current building was built in 1926 and the Nob Hill Pharmacy was owned and operated by the same family from 1933 until it closed in 2005. After a brief stint as an all-night coffee shop, then as a sports bar, Brian and Michelle bought The Pharmacy in 2019. They wanted to create a space that was comfortable for everyone. They wanted a great neighborhood bar where people could meet, hang out, enjoy good food and beer, and listen to local live music.
